The Luberon region is about 60 kms east of Arles and 40 kms from Avignon and a similar distance north of Aix-en-Provence and falls into two areas, the Vaucluse to the west and the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to the east.
There are restaurants, bars, banks, post office, supermarket, doctor, chemist, hardware shop, butcher & baker, gas station all within 25 minutes drive.
Plus in the nearby Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix (the largest reservoir in France) you have all the aquatic treats and toys you would expect to find by the sea.
You might take a walk through the Gorges d’Oppedette, enjoy wine on the terrace at Les Davids, a local winery or visit Abbaye Valaintes with its award winning rose garden.
